Holotypefemale in MNNC [in original description, which lists a single female; but Newton, 1998states holotypein MNHN].
Type locality: Chepu, 42º03’ S, Islade Chiloé, Chiloé Province, Chile.
Distribution: Argentina: Río Negro ( striata) Province; Chile(all AFN, personal data, except Chiloé): Cautín, Chiloé, Llanquihue, Malleco, Ñuble, Osorno, and Valdivia Provinces.
= Kaszabella striata Hlisnikovský, 1964c: 321; Newton, 1998: 84, 168 syn. ( holotypeseen). Holotypemale in HNHM. Type locality: Mt. Piltriquitron, 1100 m, El Bolsón, Río Negro Province, Argentina. Note: Szymczakowski (1976: 125)recorded “ Kaszabellasp.”, stating “species near Kaszabella striata”, also from Río Negro.
