Holotypefemale [a single specimen in original description, assumed as holotype] in BMNH (nº 2369 inDarwin’s register).
Type locality: “Chiloé Island”, [Chiloé Province], Chile.
Distribution: Argentina( gilvicornis): Neuquénand Río Negro Provinces; Chile(all AFN, personal data, except Chiloé): Cautín, Chiloé, Concepción, Llanquihue, Malleco, Ñuble, Osorno, Quillota, Talca, and Valdivia Provinces.
= Leiodes gilvicornis Hlisnikovský, 1964c: 318(as Liodes); Szymczakowski, 1976: 425; Newton, 1998: 169syn. ( holotypeseen). Holotypemale in HNHM. Type locality: Pampa Azcona, 350 m, El Bolsón, Río Negro Province.
