irritator
( Figure 19) Taxonomic history. The specific name ‘ irritator’ is preoccupied by Ichneumon irritator Fabricius, 1775, hence a replacement name, ‘ lissolaba’, was proposed for Smith’s ‘ irritator’ by Townes et al. (1965). Heinrich (1937)transferred this species to Melanichneumon, but Townes et al. (1965)to Vulgichneumon Heinrich, 1961. Current taxonomy.Primary homonym, valid name: Vulgichneumon lissolaba Townes, Momoi & Townes, 1965( Ichneumonidae: Ichneumoninae: Ichneumonini).
