(1965). Heinrich (1937)transferred this species to  Melanichneumon, but Townes et al. (1965)to  Vulgichneumon Heinrich, 1961.  Current taxonomy.Primary homonym, valid name:  Vulgichneumon lissolaba Townes, Momoi & Townes, 1965( Ichneumonidae: Ichneumoninae: Ichneumonini).     Typenumber. Type3b.257.
