Corporaal 1950. Paralectotypes.The description of this species was based on an undetermined number of specimens.
Diagnosis.From superficially similar specimens of the two species described below, members of this species differ by having the anterior half of the elytra dark brown, except that the humeral angles are yellow. Differences in the aedeagus will also separate these species (compare Figs. 27–29).
Description. Size: Length 7.5 mm; width 2.0 mm. Form( Fig. 120): Oblong, slightly triangular. Integumental color( Figs. 37, 38): Cranium bicolored, lower frons and dorsolateral epicranium yellow, upper frons, vertex, and middiscal epicranium, ventrolateral epicranium black, antennae dark brown; pronotum dark brown at lower sides and centrally on disc, yellow in upper sides and along anterior margin; mesoscutellum black; legs dark brown, except yel- low in proximal half of femora. Head: HW/PW 0.9; EW/ VW 1.2; antenna as in Fig. 15, funicle compressed, length half of eighth antennomere. Thorax: Pronotum ( Fig. 19) with obtuse lateral tubercle; PL / PW 0.8; elytra long rectangular, EL/ PL 4.6; EL/ EW 2.6; anterior margin of protibia with 14 spines. Male genitalia: Aedeagus as in Fig. 27. Male mesodermal internal reproductive organs( Fig. 34): Medial gland shorter than convoluted lateral gland. Variation.Size: length 7.5–8.8 mm; width 2.0– 2.9 mm. There is considerable variation in the coloration of the elytra ( Figs. 37, 38). Natural History.Specimens have been collected in June, August, and October. One specimen was captured at 290 melevation.
