It was distinguished from the similar  H. crassus(Jerdon, 1854)by a more pointed snout, tibio-tarsal articulation which extends past the eye, and SVLof over 13 cmin adults ( Khan 2008). It was distinguished from  H. litoralisHasan et al., 2012due to the lack of distinctness of the black bands across the eye and both lips ( Hasan MK et al. 2012). Its call is a loud and deep croak repeated at regular intervals.   Habitat.  Hoplobatrachus tigerinuswas predominantlyfound in heavily human-modified areas such as rice pad- dies, canals, and man-made ponds. Adults were always found near water, while juveniles could be found some distance away even in degraded forest and tea plantation. 2016-06-04 HEED, ZRC, IMG het Division & Kamalganj Upazila & Guesthouse Bangladesh 24.331 Moulvibazar District 12 91.794 7 1246 1 1
