The Cryptolechia Zeller (Lepidoptera: Oecophoridae) of China (III): Checklist and descriptions of new species Wang, Shuxia Zootaxa 2006 2006-05-08 1195 1 29 Wang, 2006 Wang 2006 [264,610,1404,1430] Insecta Oecophoridae Cryptolechia Animalia Lepidoptera 12 13 Arthropoda species rectimarginalis sp. nov.  ( Figs. 5, 21)   Type material   Holotype: ♂,  CHINA: Mt. Weishan( 25 14'N, 100 18'E), Yunnan Province,  2200 m,   20.vii.1999, coll. Houhun Liand Xinpu Wang. Paratypes: 3 ♂, 2 ♀, same data as holotype.   Diagnosis This new species superficially resembles  C. fascirupta. It can be differentiated from the latter by the valva having the median portion of apex straight and somewhat dentate in the male genitalia, and by the large curved sclerite in the middle of corpus bursae in the female genitalia.   Description Forewing length 18.5–20.0 mm. Head dark grayish brown. Labial palpus black laterally, yellow mesally; third segment long, slender, about 3/5 as long as second. Antenna black. Thorax, tegula, and forewing dark brown. Forewing broadly lanceolate; costal margin with a yellow spot at 2/5 and another at 1/4 length, the former sometimes obliquely extending downward to near dorsum; a black spot at middle of cell, end of cell, and middle of fold; cilia dark brown. Hindwing and cilia gray. Legs whitish yellow; tibiae and tarsi dark brown with whitish yellow rings on outside.  Male genitalia( Fig. 5): Uncus somewhat rectangular, with long setae. Tegumen broad and short. Valva narrow at base, gradually widened toward apex, finely setose; apex with dorsal and ventral angles rounded, slightly projecting, median portion straight and sclerotized, sparsely dentate. Sacculus broad, slightly shorter than half length of valva, bluntly rounded at apex. Saccus short, apex rounded. Aedeagus strong, longer than valva; vesica with a large cornutus, medially with several sclerotized and curved fine bands.  Female genitalia( Fig. 21): Papilla analis short, setose. Anterior apophysis about 1/3 length of posterior apophysis. Lamella postvaginalis small, sclerotized, with large thick setae. Ostium bursae large, anteriorly with triangular plate at lateral side. Ductus bursae thick and completely sclerotized. Corpus bursae large, oval; a large curved, somewhat Ushaped sclerite situated in the middle; a small curved sclerite set above the process, more or less elongate; signum large, spinelike.   EtymologyThe specific name is derived from the Latin prefix rect(straight) and marginalis(margin), in reference to the straight distal margin of the valva.    Cryptolechia rostriformis sp. n. ( Figs. 6, 22)   Type material  Holotype: ♂,  CHINA: Mt. Wuyi( 26 54'N, 116 42'E), Fujian Province,  1100 m,  22.v.2004, coll. Haili Yu.  Paratypes: 2 ♂, 2 ♀, same data as holotype.   DiagnosisThis species can be separated from other described species by the rostriform uncus in the male genitalia and the large semicircular ostium in the female genitalia.   Description Forewing length 16.0–17.5 mm. Head ochreous yellow. Labial palpus ochreous yellow; second segment with scattered black scales, completely black distally; third segment long and thin, black, except distal portion ochreous yellow. Antenna with dorsal surface ochreous yellow, ventral surface black. Thorax, tegula, and forewing black, with scattered ochreous yellow scales. Forewing lanceolate; costal margin with ochreous yellow spot at 1/2 and 1/6, a third ochreous yellow patch extending from end of cell at middle to before tornus; cilia black. Hindwing and cilia black. Legs orangeyellow with large black speckles on lateral of tibiae and tarsi.  Male genitalia( Fig. 6): Uncus narrowed basally, hooked distally, somewhat large rostriform. Tegumen broad, large, Vshaped. Valva narrow, with costal and ventral margins nearly parallel; apex bluntly rounded. Sacculus broad, about half length of valva; apex deeply concave, forming two large distal processes: dorsal process more or less fingerlike, ventral process triangular. Saccus narrowing to rounded apex, slightly shorter than sacculus. Aedeagus strong, straight, almost as long as valva; vesica with a large spinelike cornutus.  Female genitalia( Fig. 22): Papilla analis large, setose. Posterior apophysis about twice as long as anterior apophysis. Lamella postvaginalis large; posterior margin deeply incised mesally, posterior margin with large thick setae. Ostium bursae large, semicircular, sclerotized posteriorly. Ductus bursae relatively short, basal half membranous, distal half weakly sclerotized and irregularly widened. Corpus bursae small, oval, without signum.   EtymologyThe specific name is derived from the Latin rostriform, in reference to the shape of the uncus. 2236573080 [312,1323,1558,1585] China 2200 25.233334 Mt.
