        <spm:hasContent>  Remarks: A species with a proboscis characteristically tapering to a tubular distal third, and with a tarsus about twice as long as its propodus, recorded from numerous samples around New Caledonia, the Loyalty and Chesterfield Islands, and Fiji( Stock 1991a; 1997; Bamber 2004), with a depth range of 270 to 1475 m. Its distinctions from the similar  Colossendeis sinuosaare discussed under that species below.</spm:hasContent>
