We found several shells of this species with soft parts in samples from the deep range 300–1100 mmainly in sandy bottoms with phosphorites. The shells here studied show a remarkable variability, that ranges from practically smooth surface, with regularly convex whorls, lacking suture edges and a peripheral cord on the last whorl ( Figs. 16a, c, e), to shells with a conspicuous spiral sculpture, with suture edges and a peripheral cord, and plano-convex whorls ( Figs. 16 k, o, n, r, s). The sculpture of the protoconchs also showed a certain degree of variability ( Figs. 16b, d–j, l, m, p, q). Not ruling out the possibility of cryptic species, we prefer for now to consider variability of a single species, that due to its geographic location it situated within the range of distribution of  P. amydraloxinstead of that of the smooth  Pseudosetia turgida( Jeffreys, 1870)or the more sculptured  Pseudosetia azorica Bouchet & Warén, 1993. 3940322550 2002-09-08 2002-09-15 2002-09-08 AT Spain 806 43.921867 Smooth 1 -8.885016 26 27 AT-800 1 3940322381 2002-09-08 2002-09-15 2002-09-08 AT Spain 1132 43.954132 1 -8.902217 26 27 AT-1000 1 3940322530 2003-09-10 2003-09-20 2003-09-10 AT Spain 616 43.81938 1 -8.852616 26 27 AT-600 1 3940322419 2003-09-10 2003-09-20 2003-09-10 EBS Spain 301 43.7066 1 -8.7381 26 27 EBS-300 1 3940322362 2003-09-10 2003-09-20 2003-09-10 EBS Spain 598 43.82575 1 -8.853283 26 27 EBS-600 1 3940322559 2004-09-17 2004-09-28 2004-09-17 GA-DRN- Spain 1000 43.664017 1 -9.123417 26 27 GA-DRN-1000 1 5891871313 2008-07-15 2008-07-24 2008-07-15 SELVA Spain 540 44.192318 Polygon 1 -8.959567 Points 26 27 DRN-7 1 3940322386 2008-07-15 2008-07-24 2008-07-15 SELVA Spain 566 44.146183 1 -8.9184 26 27 DRN-7 1 3940322321 2008-07-15 2008-07-24 2008-07-15 SELVA Spain 449 44.168816 1 -8.658234 26 27 DRN-11 1 3940322385 2008-07-15 2008-07-24 2008-07-15 SELVA Spain 776 43.93223 1 -8.91415 26 27 DRN-15-2 1 3940322425 2008-07-15 2008-07-24 2008-07-15 SELVA Spain 580 43.82845 1 -8.852734 26 27 EBS-30-1 1 3940322467 2008-09-15 2008-09-30 2008-09-15 EBS Spain 1061 43.607334 11 -9.345166 26 27 EBS-04 1 3940322401 2008-09-15 2008-09-30 2008-09-15 EBS Spain 938 43.56 114 -9.408334 26 27 EBS-05 1 3940322424 2008-09-15 2008-09-30 2008-09-15 EBS Spain 719 42.929832 11 -9.742833 26 27 EBS-25 1 3940322369 2003-09-10 2003-09-20 2003-09-10 EBS Spain 598 43.82575 SPAIN 1 -8.853283 26 27 EBS-600 1 5891871301 2008-07-15 2008-07-24 2008-07-15 SELVA Spain Points 540 44.146183 Polygon 1 -8.9184 Polygon 26 27 DRN-7 1 3940322344 2008-07-15 2008-07-24 2008-07-15 SELVA Spain 2319 44.256115 1 -8.5073 26 27 AT-12 1 3940322493 2008-07-15 2008-07-24 2008-07-15 SELVA Spain 428 44.16147 1 -8.662017 26 27 EBS-11 1 3940322531 2008-07-15 2008-07-24 2008-07-15 SELVA Spain 580 43.82845 1 -8.852734 26 27 EBS-30-1 1
