Note on a collection of Amphibians and Reptiles from Western Sumatra (Indonesia), with the description of a new species of the genus Bufo Teynié, Alexandre David, Patrick Ohler, Annemarie Zootaxa 2010 2416 1 43 6QDB2 Das, 1996 Das 1996 [151,614,1677,1703] Amphibia Dicroglossidae Limnonectes Animalia Anura 8 9 Chordata species shompenorum   Material examined. MNHN2003.3377 (adult female; SVL 80.1 mm), between Lubuksao and Mukomuko, Province of Sumatera Barat, elev. ca.  430m.  Taxonomic comments. The specimen has dorsal skin, webbing and body size similar to  Limnonectes shompenorumdescribed by Das (1996). This species is close to some of the specimens of Boulenger’s  Rana macrodon var. blythii( Boulenger 1920), in particular specimens from Tenasserim, Siam, Larut Hills and Penang Hills which are similar in size, head width and tibia length to the specimen from Sumatera Barat. Thus  Limnonectes shompenorumshould be present in Peninsular Malaysia.   Distribution on Sumatra. Provinces of Aceh, Sumatera Utara, Sumatera Barat, Riau, Bengkulu, and Sumatera Selatan.   Biology. This specimen was collected in an ancient rice field, at the edge of a forest. It was active during a rainy night of August.
