B, 16–46.   Typespecies.  Leptagrion lencioninetoiLencioni, 2017, by present designation.   Etymology: From Fredy,short form of Frederico in honor to Frederico Augusto Rodrigues Lencioni (b. 2007), my beloved son + agrion, neuter form of agrios (ἄγριος) meaning “wild”, which in damselflies is now used as an indicator that the genus belongs to the Coenagrionidae ( Fliedner 2006).   Generic characterization.Medium sized Coenagrionidae( 35.9–53 mm), pale postocular spots and pale occipital bar absent, rear of the head black, cerci longer than S10, basal section “C”-shaped with dorsal border enlarged, apical extremity dorso-ventrally flattened, with a subterminal tooth (STT) curved medially or slightly cephalad, and possessing or a terminal apical tooth (TAT), which can have blunt or acute apexes (in  F. lencioninetoiand  F. siqueiraiSTT and TATare fused), paraproctus vestigial (plate-like) and penes of all species are virtually identical with S1 highly modified forming a robust heavily chitinized stem, S3 with a pair of blade-like distal tips ( Fig. A5) and a medial swelling heavily chitinized.   Distribution.
