The photos of male genitalia given by Otte (2006: Fig. 7H), although not of optimal quality, clearly show the distinctive characters of  Hygronemobius, namely the hemispherical shape of ectophallic fold and the divergent and ventrally oriented membranous distal lophi of pseudepiphallus.
