Simon no 9868].   Diagnosis.Males most resemble  B. gaujonibut can be distinguished from all species by the combination of the following characters: eight ventral spines on tibia I ( Fig. 15C), absence of tubercle on metatarsi I ( Fig. 15C) present in the latter ( Fig. 34A, arrow). Females are distinguished from all species by elongated, straight spermathecae, and elongated, externally positioned lobes ( Fig. 17C).   Distribution. Venezuela.  Note. In1926, Petrunkevitchmentioned a female from St. Thomasclearly stating that the description of Simondoes not allow for certain identification and that his specimens from St. Thomascould be another species. Raven (1985)provided the first accurate images of the male syntype. A lectotypeand paralectotypelabel were found in the jar, presumably written by Indicatti R. P. in 2007, but we were unable to find in the literature a formal type designation. 4164127367 R Simon, E.
