COMMENTS: In the original description, Brehm described the male, female, and young without designating a type. Of all the AMNH specimens, identified as macrorhynchosby Brehm only two were collected before the 1823 date of publication of the name. The above male was designated the lectotypeby Hartert (1918a: 9). The paralectotypein AMNH is: AMNH 675511, female, collected in the Roda Valley, on 4 October 1821.
