LECTOTYPE: AMNH 456550, adult male, collected at Kiel, 54.20N, 10.08E(Times Atlas), Germany, in May, 1825. Fromthe Brehm Collectionvia the Rothschild Collection.
COMMENTS: In the original description, Brehm did not list a type or mention how many specimens he examined. Hartert (1918a: 15)by listing the above specimen as the type of septentrionalis, designated it the lectotype. Other specimens cataloged in AMNH as septentrionaliswere collected after the publication of the name.
