Eyes surrounded by yellow scales. Labial palpi with first and second segments dark brown and yellow; third segment dark brown. Antennae dark brown, base of each segment cream from the middle to the apiculus; nudum of 25 segments.  Thorax: dorsally dark brown; ventrally dark brown and yellow.  FW:length of males 19 mm(n=1). DFW( Fig. 128): ground color dark brown; three dark brown spots: two cellular (upper and lower) and one discal in CuA 2+2A; six dark brown submarginal spots in R 5–M 1, M 1–M 2, M 2–M 3, M 3–CuA 1, CuA 1–CuA 2and CuA 2–2A; three apical hyaline spots in R 3–R 4, R 4–R 5and R 5–M 1, the last rounded and smaller.  DHW( Fig. 128): ground color dark brown; four discal dark brown rounded spots in Sc+R 1–Rs, upper cell, low- er cell and CuA 2–2A; six dark brown submarginal spots as an irregular band in Rs–M 1, M 1–M 2, M 2–M 3, M 3–CuA 1, CuA 1–CuA 2and CuA 2–2A.  VFW( Fig. 129): as DFW; spots darker.  VHW( Fig. 129): as DHW; spots darker.  Male genitalia( Fig. 175): tegumen rounded; posterior margin with two pairs of lateral apophysis extending to half of uncus. Anterior projection of saccus triangular, anterior margin rounded. Uncus short, about 1/3 the size of tegumen; posterior margin with two rounded lateral apophysis and with central region curved ventrally. Valva rectangular, twice as long as wide; costa rectangular; with distal margin modified in a dilated crest–like rounded process; sacculus rectangular, about 1/2 the length of valva. Fultura inferior distally bifid, with distal margin rounded and ventral portion truncated. Aedeagus cylindrical; insertion of manica in the middle of aedeagus; opening for ejaculatory bulb rounded; distal margin truncated; opening for vesica dorsal and lateral left, about 1/2 of size of aedeagus; one pair of spines–like projections on the distal opening of aedeagus; cornuti as two lines of sharp spines, all with same size. Female unknown.   Distribution.  Telemaides pseudotrenda  sp. nov.is only known from its typelocality: Bajo Rodriguez, San Ramón, Costa Rica.   Etymology. The specific epithet refers to the superficially similarity with  Telemiades trenda Evans, 1953.  Taxonomic discussion.Despite the phenotypic similarity, the morphology of the genitalia of  T. pseudotrenda  sp. nov.is unique when compared with the other species of the “  trendagroup”. However,  T. pseudotrenda  sp. nov.has features that indicate its proximity with the other species of the group, mainly the presence of two spines developing on the distal opening of the aedeagus.   Type material.  Holotypemale deposited at DZUPwith the following labels: /  HOLOTYPUS/  17–II–1990 Bajo Rodrígues, S. Ramon, C.
