Holotype: ♂ ( SCAU, No. 122179; BOLD process ID BDORF002–13 ), China: Hesong, Menghai , Yunnan, 21.833°N, 100.133°E, 1940 m a.s.l., 10–12.v.2012, tree trunk, H. W. Chen. GoogleMaps

Paratype: China: 1♂, 6♀ ( SCAU, Nos 122180–86), same data as holotype GoogleMaps ; 1♂, 1♀, ( SCAU, Nos 124707, 08; BOLD process ID BDORF 001– 13 in ♂), same data as holotype GoogleMaps except 6.iv.2011, J. Etymology: The name refers to the tachinid genus Zebromyia Malloch, 1929, which is so named for its striped abdomen (from Greek ζέβρα, zebra, and Μυια, muscles) referring to the mesoscutum with its longitudinal markings.

Diagnosis: This species resembles S. dianensis Chen & Chen, 2012 in male terminalia ( Fig. 7 View Figure 7 ), but can be distinguished from the latter species by mesoscutum being brown, submedially with broad, yellow longitudinal strips ( Fig. 4E, F View Figure 4 ), the opening of aedeagus heart-shaped in ventral view ( Fig. 7C View Figure 7 ). In S. dianensis : colour patterns of mesoscutum is similar to the new species S. zopheria ( Fig. 4G, H View Figure 4 ); opening of aedeagus narrow, slit-like in ventral view (as fig. 10 in Chen & Chen, 2012).

Measurements: BL = 3.33 mm in holotype (3 ♂ and 5♀ paratypes: 3.33–3.53 in ♂, 3.06–3.33 in ♀), THL = 1.80 mm (1.87–1.93 in ♂, 1.47–1.87 in ♀), WL = 2.40 mm (2.53–2.93 in ♂, 2.47–3.47 in ♀), WW = 1.33 mm (1.30–1.40 in ♂, 1.27–1.33 in ♀), arb = 9/5 (8–10/4–6), avd = 0.67 (0.67–0.87), adf = 2.14 (1.40–2.14), flw = 2.14 (1.50–2.14), FW/HW = 0.32 (0.34– 0.40), ch/o = 0.12 (0.08–0.16), prorb = 1.11 (0.86–1.05), rcorb = 0.83 (0.70–0.79), vb = 0.30 (0.19–0.35), dcl = 0.70 (0.56–0.68), presctl = 0.50 (0.40–0.57), sctl = 1.45 (1.40–2.00), sterno = 0.68 (0.67–0.86), orbito = 1.83 (1.71–2.17), dcp = 0.25 (0.22–0.28), sctlp = 1.78 (1.43–2.00), C = 1.87 (1.88–2.20), 4c = 1.14 (1.05–1.19), 4v = 1.38 (1.46–1.91), 5x = 3.00 (1.83–3.00), ac = 12 (10–13), M = 0.71 (0.55–0.67), C3F = 0.72 (0.70–0.80).
