Holotype male with labels: (1) printed with handwritten inscriptions on white label: “ Mountain Erlang / 80.8.8 ”; (2) handwritten on white label: “ Pegomya maniceiformis sp. nov. ”; (3) printed with handwritten inscriptions on red label: “ TYPE / Pegomya / maniceiformis / Feng et al. 1981 ”.

Preservation: pinned; genitalia dissected and mounted on slide pinned with the specimen; part of the abdomen mounted on paper triangle; right wing slightly damaged.
