Holotype male with labels: (1) printed with handwritten inscriptions on white label: “ Xinjiang Urumchi / no. 1006 / Chinese Academy of Sciences ”; (2) printed with handwritten inscriptions on white label: “19 80. VI.19 / collector Xianwei Liu ”; (3) handwritten on white label: “Pegohylemya / sanctimarcina”; (4) handwritten on blue label: “drawing”; (5) printed with handwritten inscriptions on red label: “ TYPE / Pegohylemyia / sanctimarcina / Fan ”.

Preservation: pinned; genitalia dissected and mounted on paper triangle, one leg mounted on the same paper triangle. Missing parts: right wing.

Current name: Botanophila mediospicula Fan, 1988 .
