Holotype male with labels: (1) printed on white label: “Jinding / 81.7”; (2) printed on red label: “ HOLOTYPE ”; (3) printed with handwritten inscriptions on white label: “ Pegohylemyia / midvirgella / Identifier: Zide Fan ”; (4) printed with handwritten inscriptions on red label: “ TYPE / Botanophila / midvirgella / (Deng) ”.
Preservation: pinned; genitalia dissected and mounted on two slides. Missing parts: head; mid and hind legs.
Paratype male with labels: (1) printed on white label: “Jinding / 81.7”; (2) handwritten on white label: “ Pegohylemyia / midvirgella sp.n. ”; (3) printed on yellow label: “ PARATYPE ”; (4) printed with handwritten inscriptions on white label: “ Pegohylemyia / midvirgella / Identifier: Zide Fan ”; (5) printed with handwritten inscriptions on red label: “ PARATYPE / Botanophila / midvirgella / (Deng) ”.
Preservation: pinned. Missing parts: head; right fore leg; left mid leg.
Additional notes: All specimens collected by Anxiao Deng at Jinding of Mount Emei , Sichuan Province .
Current name: Botanophila midvirgella ( Deng, 1985) .
