Holotype male with labels: (1) printed on white label: “Jinding / 81.6”; (2) handwritten on white label: “31”; (3) handwritten on white label: “ Pegomya rari- / femoriseta sp.n.”; (4) printed with handwritten inscriptions on white label: “ Pegomya / rarifemoriseta / Identifier: Zide Fan ”; (5) printed on red label: “ HOLOTYPE ”; (6) printed with handwritten inscriptions on red label: “ TYPE / Pegomya / rarifemoriseta / Li et Deng ”.

Preservation: pinned; genitalia dissected and mounted on slide. Missing parts: right hind leg; tarsus of left mid leg.

Paratype male with labels: (1) printed on white label: “Jinding / 84.6”; (2) printed on yellow label: “ PARATYPE ”; (3) printed with handwritten inscriptions on white label: “ Pegomya / rarifemoriseta / Identifier: Zide Fan ”; (4) printed with handwritten inscriptions on yellow label: “ PARATYPE / Pegomya / rarifemoriseta / Li et Deng ”.

Preservation: pinned. Missing parts: right mid leg.

Additional notes: Holotype and paratype collected by Anxiao Deng at Jinding of Mount Emei , Sichuan Province .
