Holotype male with labels: (1) printed with handwritten inscriptions on white label: “Hongchunping / 80.4.21 ”; (2) handwritten on white label: “1”; (3) handwritten on red label: “ HOLOTYPE ”; (4) printed with handwritten inscriptions on white label: “ Pegomya / spatulans / Identifier: Zide Fan ”; (5) printed with handwritten inscriptions on red label: “ TYPE / Pegomya / spatulans / Deng ”.
Preservation: pinned; genitalia dissected and mounted on slide pinned with the specimen. Missing parts: head; right mid leg; fore legs.
Additional notes: Holotype collected by Anxiao Deng and Shenghua Zhu at Hongchunping of Mount Emei , Sichuan Province.
Current name: Pegomya spatulans Deng & Li, 1987 .
