Holotype male with labels: (1) handwritten on white label: “Guyuan / 80. V.7”; (2) handwritten on white label: “ Phorbia / nr. atrogrisea”; (3) handwritten on white label: “○1111”; (4) printed with handwritten inscriptions on red label: “ TYPE / Phorbia subcurvifolia / Zhang, Fan et Zhu ”.

Preservation: pinned; genitalia dissected and mounted in a pinned plastic tube with the specimen. Missing parts: hind legs; wings slightly damaged.

Additional notes: Holotype was collected from Guyuan forestry centre in Mt. Daxinganling , Heilongjiang province.
