Holotype male with labels: (1) printed with handwritten inscriptions on white label: “ Fangshanyang Getai / Chinese Academy of Sciences ”; (2) printed with handwritten inscriptions on white label: “19 79. VI.19 / collector Changjing Wang ”; (3) handwritten on white label: “ Paraprosalpia / dasyops / varicilia ssp.n. ”; (4) printed with handwritten inscriptions on red label: “ TYPE / Paraprosalpia / varicilia / Fan et Wang ”; (5) printed with handwritten inscriptions on red label: “ TYPE / Alliopsis varicilia / (Fan et Wang) ”.

Preservation: pinned; specimen intact.

Paratype female with labels: (1) handwritten on white label: “Wenshui Hengjian / 81.6.6”; (2) handwritten on white label: “ Anthomyiidae sp.”; (3) printed with handwritten inscriptions on red label: “ PARATYPE / Alliopsis varicilia / (Fan et Wang) ”.

Preservation: pinned; right hind leg mounted on paper triangle.

Paratype male with labels: (1) handwritten on white label: “Wenshui Hengjian / 81.6.5”; (2) handwritten on white label: “ Anthomyiidae sp.”; (3) printed with handwritten inscriptions on red label: “ PARATYPE / Alliopsis varicilia / (Fan et Wang) ”.

Preservation: pinned; genitalia dissected and mounted on paper triangle.
