Holotype male with labels: (1) handwritten on white label: “ Tibet Yatung / 1962.6”; (2) handwritten on white label: “Pe-4”; (3) handwritten on white label: “ Pegohylemyia / amedialis sp.n. ”; (4) printed with handwritten inscriptions on red label: “ TYPE / Botanophila / amedialis / (Zhong) ”.
Preservation: pinned; genitalia dissected and mounted on paper triangle. Missing parts: left mid leg and right hind leg.
Current name: Botanophila amedialis (Zhong, 1985) .
