Holotype male with labels: (1) printed with handwritten inscriptions on white label: “ Sichuan Daofu / Chinese Academy of Sciences ”; (2) printed with handwritten inscriptions on white label: “19 84.IV.26 / collector Jinayi Wu ”; (3) handwritten on white label: “ Pegomya / avirostrata / sp.n.”; (4) printed with handwritten inscriptions on red label: “ TYPE / Pegomya / avirostrata Fan ”.

Preservation: pinned; genitalia dissected and mounted at the tip of a pinned paper.
