Holotype male with labels: (1) handwritten on white label: “ Tibet Yatung / 1962.6”; (2) handwritten on white label: “Pe-3”; (3) handwritten on white label: “ Pegohylemyia / argyrometopa n.”; (4) printed with handwritten inscriptions on red label: “ TYPE / Botanophila / argyrometopa / (Zhong) ”.
Preservation: pinned; genitalia dissected and mounted on paper triangle.
Current name: Botanophila argyrometopa (Zhong, 1985) .
