Holotype male with labels: (1) printed with handwritten inscriptions on white label: “ Huzhu BeiShan / (no. 58) / Chinese Academy of Sciences ”; (2) printed with handwritten inscriptions on white label: “19 74. VI.16 / collector Ma, Wu / Fan, Fan ”; (3) printed with handwritten inscriptions on red label: “ TYPE / Hylemya / bruneipalpis / Fan ”.

Preservation: pinned; fore legs missing.

Additional notes: Holotype male collected at Huzhu Beishan , Qinghai Province.

Current name: Hylemya bruneipalpis Fan, 1982 .
