Holotype male with labels: (1) printed with handwritten inscriptions on white label: “ Shanghai Sheshan / Chinese Academy of Sciences ”; (2) printed with handwritten inscriptions on white label: “19 77.3.8 / collector Jianyi Wu ”; (3) handwritten on white label: “ Paraprosalpia sp. n. / n. billbergi (Zett.) ”; (4) printed with handwritten inscriptions on red label: “ TYPE / Paraprosalpia / billbergi / shanghaina / Fan ”.

Preservation: pinned; tarsus of right mid leg mounted on paper triangle.

Paratype male with labels: (1) printed with handwritten inscriptions on white label: “ Songjiang Sheshan / no.404 / Chinese Academy of Sciences”; (2) printed with handwritten inscriptions on white label: “19 78.3.28 / collector Yurong Li ”; (3) handwritten on blue label: “drawing”; (4) printed with handwritten inscriptions on red label: “ PARATYPE / Paraprosalpia / billbergi / shanghaina / Fan ”.

Preservation: pinned. Missing parts: right hind leg.
