Holotype male with labels: (1) printed on white label: “Musée Heude / Tsinanfon / Long-tong / 500 à 700m ”; (2) printed on red label: “ HOLOTYPE ”; (3) printed with handwritten inscriptions on red label: “ TYPE / Calythea / cheni Fan / 1963 sp.n. ”.
Preservation: mounted on paper triangle. Missing parts: antennas and halteres.
Additional notes: Holotype male collected at Lhunzhub County of Tibet.
Current name: Calythea cheni Fan, 1965 .
