Paratype male with labels: (1) handwritten on blue label: “Xicen / 94.6.24”; (2) printed on yellow label: “ PARATYPE ”; (3) printed with handwritten inscriptions on white label: “ Pegohylemyia / fulgicauda / Identifier: Anxiao Deng ”; (4) printed with handwritten inscriptions on red label: “ PARATYPE / Botanophila / fulgicauda / (Deng, Liu et Li) ”.

Preservation: pinned; specimen intact.

Paratype male with labels: (1) handwritten on blue label: “Xicen / 94.6.24”; (2) printed on yellow label: “ PARATYPE ”; (3) printd with handwritten inscriptions on white label: “ Pegohylemyia / fulgicauda / Identifier: Anxiao Deng ”; (4) printed with handwritten inscriptions on red label: “ PARATYPE / Botanophila / fulgicauda / (Deng, Liu et Li) ”.

Preservation: pinned. Missing parts: left wing.

Additional notes: Both paratypes collected by Yang Liu and Ling Li at snow mountain of Dayi County, Sichuan Province, 2800 to 3000 meters above sea level; labels of paratypes pinned by Anxiao Deng , but the date of collection on the label (94.6.24) do not match with the date in the original publication (1994.6.4).

Current name: Botanophila fulgicauda ( Deng, Liu & Li, 1995) .
