Discussion

This species is cosmopolitan in distribution. In Australia it is known from Queensland, New South Wales and South Australia ( Cassis and Gross 1995). Eyles (1999b) also reported it from Norfolk Island. This is the first record of this species from the Witchelina Nature Reserve.
