This species has been recorded from Australia, Nepal, Thailand and Venezuela ( Aptroot et al. 2009).

The Bolivian material has numerous pycnidia with bacillar conidia measuring 3–4.5 × 1–1.2 μm. So far the conidia were not found in this species ( Aptroot et al. 2009).
