Material examined: LIBERIA: Bong county, Liberia Research Unit (Bong Mine) , 6°48′37″N 10°21′23″W, 13.– 24.v.1989, at light, leg. Rolf Garms (2 ♂♂, 3 ♀♀).

Distribution: Angola, Benin, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ghana, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Nigeria, Togo.

Remark: Fifteen species are known from the Afrotropical region, most of which were described from eastern and southern Africa ( Maldonado Capriles, 1990). Villiers (1948) keyed four species including L. vandenplasi .
