Homotypic synonym:— Cestichis arachnites (Schltr.) M.A.Clem. & D.L.Jones in Jones & Clements (2005: 38).
Type:—Neu Guinea ( PAPUA NEW GUINEA), Kaiser-Wilhelms-Land, im Humus der Wälder auf dem Kamme des Dischore (Wariagebiet), ca. 1,300 m, Juni 1909, R. Schlechter 19721 (B+).
Note:—I did not find out any part of the original type-collection or other good quality, complete (with well developed both leaves and flowers) specimens of the species that could be used for neotypification.
