Homotypic synonym: — Cestichis similis (Schltr.) M.A.Clem. & D.L.Jones in Jones & Clements (2005: 39).
Type: — Neu Guinea ( PAPUA NEW GUINEA), Kaiser-Wilhelms-Land, auf Bäumen in der Wälder des Torricelli-gebirges, am Rin-Tejao, ca. 800 m, September 1908, R. Schlechter 20120 (B+).
Note:—I did not find out any part of the original type-collection or other good quality, complete (with well developed both leaves and flowers) specimens of the species that could be used for neotypification.
