Remarks.—This species was described from numerous specimens, and was placed in the newly erected genus Apomethia Martins, Chemsak & Linsley, 1966 from the Pearl Islands off the coast of central Panama. This species has been reported from Costa Rica and Panama.

Material examined.— BELIZE ( new country record), Stann Creek District, 1 specimen, Toucan Ridge Ecology & Education Society field station ( TREES), Middlesex, 37 km W of Dangriga , 8–13 August, 2017, L.G. Bezark collector, ( LGBC) .
