Pendleburyella sp. “ intermedia Chopard”

( Figs. 8E View FIGURE 8 , 12 View FIGURE 12 )

Material examined. MALAYSIA • 1♁ (type); Pahang, Fraser’s Hill , at light; 12 July 1936; 0017 ( MP) .

Remarks. The ‘type’ specimen was identified as “ Pendleburya intermedia ” by Chopard, but we did not find the original description of this species in Chopard (1969) where the genus and species were first described. We also did not find other publications where this species was mentioned, and consequently it was also not found in the Orthoptera Species File ( Cigliano et al., 2023). This specimen is large and shows clear differences with Pendleburyella sp. 2 from Selangor – Pahang, The Gap (not too far from Fraser’s Hill) ( Table 1 View TABLE 1 ). Unfortunately, the specimen also appeared damaged at the abdominal apex and the male genitalia may be lost. As the male genitalia was not available, we did not describe and name this species unless newer material from Fraser’s Hill can be collected.
