Material examined

Neuquén Province: 19 males, 13 females, Arroyo Llano Blanco, Laguna Blanca National Park, 11 November 1999; 1 male, Río Collon Curé, 30 km east of Junín de los Andes, 12 November 1999; 1 male, 2 females, 1 nymph, Río Chimehuín, west of Junín de los Andes, 13 November 1999.

Chubut Province: 4 males, 4 females, small stream with Myriophyllum, Villa Futalaufquen, Los Alerces National Park, 18 November 1999; 3 males, 14 nymphs, Río Desaguadero at Villa Futalaufquen, Los Alerces National Park, 19 November 1999; 13 males, 9 females, 1 nymph, Río Tecka, 30 km north of Tecka, 21 November 1999.

Remarks

A widespread subspecies, occurring from southern Chile north to Colombia. The subspecies described from Colombia by Lundblad (1953) have all been synonymized by Besch (1963b).
