Type Locality: Japan, Honshu, Iwate Pref., Ninohe-Gun, Ashiro-cho, Horobe.
Vernacular Names: Endo's Pipistrelle.
Distribution: Honshu ( Japan).
Conservation: IUCN 2003 and IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001) – Endangered.
Discussion: Subgenus Pipistrellus . Very similar to javanicus and abramus but apparently distinct, see Yoshiyuki (1989) and Horácek et al. (2000).
