Epacmoides biumbonatus (Bezzi)

Plesiocera biumbonata Bezzi : 1922, 81.

Distribution. Namibia *, South Africa (Eastern, Northern & Western Cape.

Material examined. 1♀, KleinAusVista, 26°41.00’S 16°13.08’E, 23.ix.2003, F.W. & S.K. Gess, general, 03/04/83 ( AMGS) GoogleMaps .

Notes. Examination of the surviving syntype of E. biumbonatus in Bezzi’s own collection showed that E. biumbonatus of Hesse (1956) is a misidentification and that E. albifrons Hesse is a synonym of E. biumbonatus Bezzi (Greathead & Evenhuis, 2004) .
