PORCEPICUS Huber, 2022 View in CoL
( Figs 277–282 View FIGURES 277–280 View FIGURES 281, 282 )
Porcepicus Huber View in CoL in Huber & Read, 2022: 9 View Cited Treatment . Type species: Porcepicus herison Huber, 2022 View in CoL , by original designation.
Diagnosis. Funicle 6-segmented, without a ring segment ( Figs 278 View FIGURES 277–280 , 282 View FIGURES 281, 282 ); body somewhat dorsoventrally flattened; metasoma in dorsal view circular in outline and gt 1 planoconvex ( Figs 281, 282 View FIGURES 281, 282 ); head, mesosoma, metasoma, legs and antennal segments with long, strong setae (Figs, 277a,b, 282).
Remarks. Porcepicus belongs to the Camptoptera group of genera. The occiput with a fine median vertical coronal sulcus and widely V- shaped sulcus dorsal to the foramen ( Fig. 277b View FIGURES 277–280 ) place it clearly in the group. The long, thick setae laterally on the body and on the appendages are unique.
Neotropical hosts. Unknown.
