Holotype.
ZMB 5573, “Mombas” [Mombasa, Kenya], coll. Carl Claus von der Decken.
Present name.
Hyperolius concolor (Hallowell, 1844).
Remarks.
Depicted in Ahl (1931b: 274, fig. 144). The German explorer, geographer, zoologist and botanist von der Decken arrived in East Africa (Zanzibar) in September 1860. Until 1865 he undertook several expeditions to Kilwa, the Malawi Lake region, the Usambara Mountains and Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania and to Bardera [Baardhere, southwestern Somalia] ( Decken 1869; Verdcourd 2002).
