Type species: Comaroma simoni Bertkau, 1889 .
Characters of genus. 8 eyes, AME very reduced and difficult to see, the other eyes forming 2 triangular groups; abdomen with 2 scuta in female, 3 scuta in male.
Taxonomy. For a long time the genus Comaroma has been assigned to the Theridiidae or to the Linyphidae subfamily Erigoninae ; transferred to the Anapidae by WUNDERLICH, 1986.
Distribution. There are 6 species in the World (PLATNICK, 2010); 4 species appear in China or in Japan, one species in the USA; one species appears in Europe.
