Distribution. This species was labeled from Amazon region in Walker’s original description of the junior synonym Ansa distincta Walker, 1868 ( Frey-da-Silva et al. 2002), but probably is a mistake because this species was posteriorly collected only in Atlantic Forest biome ( Rio de Janeiro and Paraná).
