Diagnosis. Among all already-described genera considered as thiodinines by Ruiz & Maddison (2015) and here, Titanattus can be distinguished by a high carapace and clypeus (e.g. Peckham & Peckham 1885: fig. 1A), and typical salticid number of spines on their legs (e.g. patellae p1, r0 or p1, r1; many leg spines are absent in other thiodinines; see discussion below) and a heart-shaped sternum, with no keel ( Fig. 9 ; Peckham & Peckham 1885: fig. 1C).
