Notes

This Neotropical genus has approximately 15 described species ( Edmonds 2000). Morelli et al. (1996) Noriega (2001) bring information about the life cycle of some Sulcophanaeus species. Edmonds (2000) was used for species identification. Sulcophanaeus faunus (Fabricius, 1775) was the only species recorded in this study (Fig. 5 View Figure 5 D).
