Notes.

Melanomma was validly established by Fuckel (1870) with M. pulvis-pyrius as the type species. These species have cosmopolitan distribution worldwide and characterised in having carbonaceous ascomata and hyaline or brown, 2–3 - septate ascospores ( Tian et al. 2015; Crous et al. 2020). The asexual morph can be either coelomycetes or hyphomycetes ( Hyde et al. 2011). Currently, 94 species are accepted in this genus ( Species Fungorum 2024) and have been reported from 39 plant families (Fig. 10 View Figure 10 ).
