Diagnostic features. Body green to light green ( Fig. 41View FIGURES 41–43), lateral margins of mandibular plates, pronotum, hemelytra and connexivum reddish ( Fig. 41View FIGURES 41–43). Cicatrices of pronotum and basal angles of scutellum immaculate ( Fig. 42View FIGURES 41–43). Posterolateral angles of connexivum maculate ( Fig. 41View FIGURES 41–43). Spiracles black surrounded by a yellow callus. Humeral angles produced into a spine ( Figs 41–42View FIGURES 41–43). Body length: 11.00–13.00 mm ( Schwertner & Grazia 2007; Garbelotto & Campos 2014).

Recorded host plants. Soybean and wheat ( Lopes et al. 1974; Link & Grazia 1987), and Canola ( Bianchi et al. 2019).

Distribution in Rio Grande do Sul. Cruz Alta, Guaíba, Rio Grande, Santa Maria and Passo Fundo ( Fig. 43View FIGURES 41–43).

Comments. This species is similar to C. armigera  , being differentiated by having the mandibular plates narrower and margins of body reddish instead of yellowish.

New records. Cruz Alta and Guaíba.
