Type locality. Mount Hutt.

Broun number: 3747.

Type material examined. 1 ex. Holotype (NHM): card-mounted, genitalia mounted on glass slide pinned together with the specimen, “Holo- \ type” [round label with red border], “3747.” [in Broun’s hand], “Mt. Hutt \ 27.2.1912.“ [in Broun’s hand], New Zealand. [red underline] \ Broun Coll. \ Brit. Mus. \ 1922-482.”, “ Cyphon \ granulicollis .” [in Broun’s hand], “Holotype \ Cyphon granulicollis \ Broun \ det. T. Nyholm 1981” [in Nyholm’s hand].

Remarks. Broun (1915) studied a single specimen collected on 27.02.1913 [sic, according to the label – 27.02.1912] by T. Hall at Mount Hutt near Methven. According to Nyholm (2000) this species belongs to an undescribed genus.
