Material examined. 1♀, York, farm, Hoedspruit, South Africa, Limpopo, 24˚15’53.4’’S, 30˚53’28.5’’E, 5.vi.2017 em., reared on Chamaecrista mimosoides (Fabaceae) (A. & I. Sharp) ( HSS).

Biology. Larva was observed feeding on Chamaecrista mimosoides (Fabaceae) in May. Adult emerged 5.vi ( Staude et al. 2020: 58).

Distribution. South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe ( Janse 1958: 104, as S. variana Meyrick, 1904 ), Namibia, Zambia, Ethiopia, Madagascar ( Mey 2011: 202).
